Privacy

Your progress is private by default. No third-party trackers or analytics, and fonts are self-hosted.

We designed How to Better so that your progress is yours, and private by default.

Works without an account

  • You can read checklists and try the Life Check without an account. Life Check results are stored only in your browser’s localStorage and are never sent to our server.
  • You can clear them at any time by deleting the site data in your browser.
  • Your progress is never put in a URL and never shown on a page anyone can open.

When you create an account

  • The dashboard, checklist status updates and bookmarks require sign-in. We store your name, email and progress so you can use it across devices.
  • The first time you sign in we always ask first whether to import the progress on this device into your account.
  • Your progress is private. There are no public profiles and no leaderboards.

Combined community statistics

We show the share of accounts answering Done among those answering Done or Planned for each item. Names, accounts, respondent counts and individual answers are not shown. A group needs at least 20 accounts and at least 5 in each status; percentages are rounded to the nearest 5%. Smaller groups have no published percentage. Life Check answers stored only in your browser are not included.

No trackers

  • No third-party analytics or scripts, no ads, no tracking pixels.
  • Fonts are hosted on our own site, so nothing is sent to Google Fonts.
  • Cookies are used only for signing in.
  • The language you choose (Thai or English) lives only in the URL. It is not stored in a cookie or sent to analytics.

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only the name and email needed to create your account.
